Base preparation is the part you never see
Nearly everything that fails in a Colorado landscape fails underneath. Clay moves as it takes on and gives up water, and freeze-thaw works on anything sitting on a base that was not compacted properly. Pavers heave, walls lean, edging lifts. We spend the time on excavation, base depth and compaction before a single finished surface goes down, because that is what decides whether the job still looks square after a few winters.
What we install
Installation covers the built elements of the plan and the planting that goes around them:
- Paver and flagstone patios, walkways and pathways.
- Retaining walls and boulder work, built to hold back the grade rather than decorate it.
- Rock beds, dry creek beds and drainage features.
- Sod, planting beds, trees and shrubs.
